Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This site is operated by Gibb Financial Education Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17381686), with its registered office at The Packhouse, Broadwater Farm, Broadwater Road, West Malling, Kent, ME19 6HT, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). Gibb Financial Education Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC237588. Gibb Finance is a trading name of Gibb Financial Education Ltd. The Gibb Forward CurveTM is an approach developed by founder Jigna Gibb, referenced throughout this site. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, and how we use it.
The calculators
The Budget Check and Interest Compounding Calculator run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them - income, costs, or any other figures - is transmitted to us, saved, or stored anywhere. No personal data is collected through these tools. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything you entered.
The newsletter and free guide sign-up
If you submit the sign-up form, we collect the email address (and optional first name) you provide. Kit is the email marketing platform we use to send you the free guide and our newsletter - you can find out more about them at kit.com. Kit is contractually required to handle your data in line with UK GDPR. You can unsubscribe at any time and we do not sell or share your details.
Lawful basis
We rely on your consent, given when you submit the sign-up form. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing (a link is included in every email) or by emailing hello@gibbfinance.com.
Cookies and local storage
We keep cookies and similar technologies to a minimum. Following written confirmation from our email provider, Kit, here is what is actually set, and why.
Strictly necessary - no consent required. __cf_bm and
cf_clearance are security cookies set by Cloudflare, our hosting security
provider, to detect automated abuse and verify legitimate visitors. These are set on this
domain for any visitor to this site, regardless of whether you use the newsletter sign-up
form; an equivalent Cloudflare security cookie is also set on Kit's own script domain once
that script loads.
Sign-up form - only loaded with your consent. The free guide and newsletter sign-up form itself is visible to every visitor, but nothing from Kit is set while you're simply looking at or filling it in. Kit's script, and anything it sets, only loads at the moment you tick the consent checkbox next to the submit button. That tick is how we obtain your consent before anything from Kit is set, and the form cannot be submitted until it's ticked. Once loaded, this includes:
- a local storage entry called
ckid- a randomly generated identifier used to prevent the same form being submitted twice, and to count how many times the form has been viewed for Kit's own analytics purposes. Kit has confirmed this is sent only to their own servers, is not shared with third parties, and is not used for cross-site tracking, advertising, or retargeting. Kit describes this identifier as anonymous; however, because it is tied to your browser, it can count as personal data under UK GDPR once linked to an actual sign-up - see below. Kit has not told us how long this identifier is kept on your device; if you would prefer it not to persist, you can clear your browsing data (cookies and site data, not just cookies alone) for this site at any time through your browser settings; - once you submit the form, two short-lived cookies used only within the confirmation
overlay shown on this page (not elsewhere on the site):
mailapp_session(around 10 minutes) andXSRF-TOKEN, both used to process your sign-up securely; - if you confirm your subscription by email, you will briefly pass through a page
hosted by Kit which sets a fraud-prevention cookie from Stripe (named
m). This happens regardless of whether payment is involved, and is not something we can currently switch off or control directly.
Remembering that you've subscribed. Once you submit the form, Kit sets
a local storage entry named cksubscribed- followed by our form's ID (for
example, cksubscribed-1e21d73726), marking your browser as already
subscribed so the sign-up form is not shown to you again. This has no set expiry. If you
would prefer this not to be remembered, you can clear your browsing data (cookies and
site data, not just cookies alone) for this site at any time through your browser
settings, free of charge, and the form will be shown to you again.
Some of these items are randomly generated identifiers tied to your browser. Once linked to an actual sign-up, they can count as personal data under UK GDPR regardless of how Kit itself describes them, and we treat them accordingly - see "Your rights" below. See Kit's own privacy policy for more detail on what they set.
Retention
We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we aim to remove it within 30 days, other than a minimal record Kit may retain on a suppression list, solely to ensure we do not contact you again.
Sharing
We do not sell or share your details with third parties, other than Kit, who processes them on our behalf as a data processor.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@gibbfinance.com - we will respond within one month, as required by UK GDPR. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have handled your data improperly.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at hello@gibbfinance.com.
